The town of Nantucket Department of Public Works and Town Arborist Dale Gary will be handing out free seedlings at the Madaket Landfill this weekend in celebration of Arbor Day. National Arbor Day is Friday, April 28th and is recognized as a day to encourage the care for and planting of trees. Look for the big yellow truck on Saturday and Sunday from 8am – 12n, or until they run out. A wonderful opportunity for children to learn the value of planting a tree.
